Profit Accumulator member Twelve is a dad of three from Cardiff. He started matched betting to earn money online in June 2016. Here's his story...

If you work, what is your job?

No job, this is kinda full-time but wasn't by choice originally. Was out of work when I came across PA.

How long have you been a member of PA?

Started June 2016. Never heard of matched betting prior to that and never placed a bet in my life.

How did you hear about it - were you sceptical at first?

My girlfriend saw a link on her Facebook page and showed me. I was sceptical but after reading into it a bit, it made perfect sense.

I signed up and started with around £300 that I had for my birthday. Girlfriend planned on buying a graphics card - £300 cash instead for PA turned out to be the best decision I ever made!

How have you found it?

I picked it up fairly quickly. Bit of a nerd, so like all the maths behind it etc. I started on June 10th and had made £1,200 by the end of that month, which was unbelievable.

What do you do with the profits you earn?

Originally, I planned to save as much as possible but with being out of work, there was a lot of living expenses and a few luxuries.

Days out and trips with kids. Quite a fair bit on the house and the new computer in the picture.

How much time do you spend on matched betting?

When it was mainly sports, I'd be on and off the computer all day/night. Checking odds on football and waiting for close matches. Doing horses from 2pm to 6pm most days. The small casino offers at night. So quite a few hours each day.

"When I started all this, I knew next to nothing about football"

June/July this year has been at least half as much time as before thanks to autospins/autoclickers. I am looking forward to football starting back up, though, as I still enjoy the sports side of it. That's from a matched betting point of view, I don't actually like football at all otherwise.

Why does matched betting appeal to you?

It was just the idea of being able to make risk and tax-free profit for sitting at my computer. I already spend a lot of time on the computer anyway, so it was a bonus to be able to make money from it.

What would be your advice to someone thinking it?

The most annoying part for me was not having enough money to do stuff. At the start, waiting for refunds to be able to move to the next offer.

Also, with having to spend a lot of the profits, I was missing out on bigger payouts on things like Paddy Power 2UP. Although I made a lot of money from it, most times I wanted to put more money on but it was tied up else where or waiting to hit the bank. If you can keep profits untouched, you'll benefit hugely from it in the long run.

Are there any aspects of Profit Accumulator you particularly like?

The community is the main reason I stick around. Particularly the "ongoing football reloads" thread and, previously, the horse racing threads. When I started all this, I knew next to nothing about football and the guys in that thread were always helpful with my stupid questions!

JD in particular, with his shortlist on FGS/FTD for DD/HH, made the whole offer much easier for me with my lack of knowledge about the players.
