Simon was introduced to Outplayed when an internet search for “making money from home” highlighted the amazing potential of Matched Betting, and he signed up as a member shortly after. Two years later, he joined the company, initially working in the Customer Support and forum teams, where he used his passion for writing and educating to help thousands of members profit from this lucrative side hustle.

With the help of colleagues at Outplayed and aided by perhaps too much time spent going down the rabbit hole of internet research, he has developed a deep understanding of a range of topics relating to casinos and betting.

As someone with an innate desire to understand how things work, Simon has used his mathematical and analytical skills to create several Matched Betting calculators and other betting and casino tools using spreadsheets. Many of these are available in the Outplayed Help Centre.

Simon is also a keen musician, occasionally using author biographies to shamelessly promote his band, XL, where he has served as lead guitarist for over 10 years. They perform most weekends in the Midlands area.

He also loves exploring, and can often be found with his family, trying to see just how far it’s possible to take the family campervan.
