How to Link Your Outplayed Account To BetConnect

Before you start, you’ll need a BetConnect account. If you don’t have one yet, sign up here.

Once you have BetConnect account:

• Log in to Outplayed.

• Go to the Oddsmatching software and open the calculator on a BetConnect selection.

• Select 'Connect Account'.
• You'll be taken to a screen to enter your BetConnect details to complete the integration process.

Once linked, you’ll be able to place lay bets directly through Outplayed.

How To Place A Bet Using BetConnect Integration

If you’ve used integrated betting with other exchanges before, the process will feel familiar.

A key feature of BetConnect is the LOCK button, which allows you to lock in your lay odds for 60 seconds, ensuring they don’t change while you place your back bet.

Here’s the process we recommend for placing a bet:

1. Find a bet on the Oddsmatching software and open the calculator.
2. Go to the bookmaker’s website and add the bet to your bet slip (but don't confirm yet).
3. On Outplayed, click Lock Lay Bet with BetConnect (60-second timer starts).
4. Confirm your back bet with the bookmaker.
5. Confirm your lay bet from the Outplayed calculator.

Once completed, you’ll receive confirmation that your lay bet has been successfully placed.

Common Error Messages And How To Fix Them

Although the BetConnect integration ensures your bets are fully matched or not matched at all, you may occasionally see error messages.

Here’s what they mean and how to resolve them:

"You need to add funds to place this bet with the exchange"

This means your exchange balance is too low to cover the liability of your lay bet. Simply deposit more funds into your BetConnect account and try again.

"There may not be enough money at the exchange"

This error indicates that there isn’t enough liquidity at the current lay odds to fully match your bet. You can either:

Reduce your bookmaker stake to match the available lay liquidity.

Find another match with higher liquidity.

"No longer available"

If you see this message, it means the liquidity at those odds has disappeared. The selection is no longer available, so return to the Oddsmatcher tool and pick another bet.

"Lay bet has NOT been locked"

Each selection can only be locked once for 60 seconds. If you don’t place your bet within that window, you won’t be able to lock it again.

"Lay bet has not been placed - bet is too small"

BetConnect has a minimum lay bet size of £1. If your stake is too low, you’ll need to increase your bet to at least £1.
