What's your name and where are you from?

I prefer to remain anonymous - but some say I could pass as a relative of Boris Johnson! ;) I'm originally from Manchester but now live just outside Blackpool.

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I'm married and have 4 children. I've been a bar/restaurant Manager for 20+ years but have found myself a victim of Covid-19 recently and so I'm currently looking for work

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

My account says 52 days but its been a couple of weeks longer than that...

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

My wife mentioned it around 6 months ago after hearing people talking about it on “mumsnet”. I initially had a quick look but gave it a miss as it looked very complicated but when I came back to it and watched a couple of training videos I realised that its not difficult at all.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting?

I played poker regularly around 10 years ago and did well at it. I never considered myself a gambler although I do like football accumulators at the weekend so I suppose I am really. I cringe when I think of how much I've lost over the years.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

I have found the basics very easy but I haven't really looked at all the different calculators yet as they do look a little more complicated. I'm really only focusing on the free bet clubs, the BBL offers on Coral and extra places.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

I started with £200.

Can you tell us a bit about your Matched Betting journey so far?

So I started slowly and worked through all the sign up offers. By the time I had finished them I had around £750. I then tried to work out what I could do to get a regular income so started the free bet clubs.

How much money have you made so far?

I estimate that I have made around £1400 so far after adding back in what I've splashed out on.

Have you bought anything nice with your profits? Or are you saving up for something special?

As I lost my job I have spent £250 on Xmas presents for the kids and I had to have my phone repaired which cost me £210 and I've kept me and the missus in wine and takeaways too. The plan is to use the profits to chip away at our credit cards and get us in a better position financially.

Do your family and friends know you are Matched Betting and do they understand what it is?

My wife thinks I should be making more money and my mates don't really get it. Because I've always been a bit of a live wire they just think its another one of my crazy business ideas and haven't really wanted to get involved.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

I try to, but I always end up just totaling up my bank a/c, smarkets, pending withdrawals and balances 20 times a day to see where I'm at.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your Matched Betting?

To be honest, as I'm out of work I spend most of the day at my laptop anyway so I'm always online and ready to do something. I do the school run and then spend 30 minutes in the morning doing all my BBL bets, and my wife's ones too ;) I tend to do the in-play bets late at night when everyone has gone to bed.

How have you found PA’s services so far? What aspects of the PA site do you like the most?

The Facebook group is fantastic. I actually joined a different group initially thinking it was the PA one and I was ridiculed a lot for my lack of knowledge which nearly put me off completely. Luckily I realised and joined the right one and the support is fantastic despite everyone asking the same questions over and over again lol. The weekly email with all the reload offers is good but I've usually done all my daily bets by the time it comes through.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

You can take it a number of ways. If you want to make a quick £500-£1000 just do the sign up offers and then leave it. Other than that its a long grind and it is lots of small profits that add up to a nice supplementary income for very little effort. The people that are making mega money have been doing it a long time, have spent time learning the advanced offers and work very hard at it...this is possible if you have the time.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Take things really slowly and watch the training videos. So many times questions come in and its obvious people haven't watched the training. Its so important and they are so easy to follow. Also, don't be tempted to gamble. If you make £30 a week matched betting - that's £120 a month. Its so tempting to stick £50 on a dead cert of to have a footy acca but this is not good business sense. You have a guaranteed income here. Don't give it the bookies back. Just remind yourself how much you have spent over the years and work on getting it back!

Finally some quick fire questions...
