Profit Accumulator members are encouraged to share their success in the Motivational Thread on our forum.

PA member Part-Timer posted this message: "Over the last 16 months, matched betting has bought me a PlayStation VR, weekend to Alton Towers with the kids, two weeks in Cuba, an adorable pug puppy for the wife for Christmas, a new bathroom and two weeks in Dominican Republic later this year.

"For someone on a fairly average salary, it's a wonderful amount of regular extra money to be making and I'll reiterate, I'm only doing this part-time, an hour or so a day and most of every Saturday on the horses and football.

"Even with very little effort this summer, I'm making a couple hundred per month"

"For those who saw my puppy pic of the adorable Pippi when I bought her, here's an update at five months old (she was a present for the wife, yet I'm not ashamed to admit I'm completely besotted with her!)."

Here's a bit more about Part-Timer and his matched betting:

Whereabouts do you live?

Tell us about your family

The stereotypical married with two kids!

What is your job?

I'm an IT service delivery manager for a managed services provider.

How long have you been a member of PA?

One and a half years.

How did you hear about matched betting?

I saw others discussing matched betting on another forum (not matched betting-related) and PA kept coming up as the best choice for a beginner. I knew of MB but never really understood the massive potential it had. I can understand why some don't understand it, though, and think it's too good to be true.

How have you found it?

I've found most concepts easy but still don't venture into accumulators much but I will be making a bigger effort with them come the new footy season.

I had the odd online flutter here and there so understood the betting processes and markets and that obviously helped. And it isn't sucking up to PA when I say this, but the brilliant community and mod/admin team make things easy by being so helpful and willing to give advice and guidance.

'Ultimately, though, I'm in it to make money. PA has helped me with that'

I normally beat my targets comfortably; even with a quiet last couple of months, I'm still averaging nearly £800 per month across the 18 months I've been doing this.

What do you do with the profit you make?

In my first year, it was almost all put back into the 'MB pot' to help me make more profit through targeting more, or bigger value offers. Now, I keep a healthy balance with the bookies and exchanges I need and my pot has instead become a savings pot which allows me a bit of guilt free spending every now and then.

How much time do you spend on matched betting?

It varies. This is a quiet summer for me, but I still spend a few hours on Saturdays doing the horse offers but when football season comes around, it's normally an hour to an hour and half per day during the week and I can spend a good five or six hours on a Saturday and Sunday. It's great when those offers come thick and fast!

Why does matched betting appeal to you?

As a family, we have a comfortable lifestyle with or without MB, but who doesn't feel a bit guilty spending big chunks of money every now and then? I've made money out of MB that is quite literally money for nothing apart from the cost to my time.

It means when I want to buy something now that might be considered a luxury or fancy exuberant purchase (I love expensive watches for instance), I no longer have to say to myself, "Can I justify spending that much on this?" - I just say, "Can I afford this?". And thanks to matched betting, the answer is often yes.

What would be your advice to someone thinking of trying matched betting?

Do it! You could put next to no time or effort in and still make £150-£200 per month with a little understanding and the guidance through the processes and PA helps you with that. If someone said to you in the street, "Here's £100. Come back at the same time next month and I'll give you it again, and again the one after", you'd take it, wouldn't you? Well that's what the bookies are doing!

Are there any aspects of Profit Accumulator you particularly like?

First and foremost, it has to be the forum community and team, in the most, very good people. Always on hand with guidance and help and a good dose of humour at times making those hours fly by. I think for a beginner, the layout as well, the way you're guided through the concepts and offers, that is brilliantly set up. Ultimately, though, I'm in it to make money. PA has helped me with that, so what's not to like, eh?
