As one of the biggest sports betting bookmakers, it’s no surprise that Bet365 has one of the best sign up offers around. If you’re keen to dive right in, sign up with Bet365 and bet just £10 to get £30 in bet credits.

Alternatively, if you’re looking to learn more about Bet365’s bet credits and how and where to use them, stick around.

In this article, we explain all you need to know about their bet credit system, how to get value for money from bet credits, and also how to take advantage of other offers available on their website.

Who Are Bet365?

Bet365 are one of the biggest and best known bookmakers in the world, with over 100 million registered customers across the globe. The company was founded in 2000 by Denise Coates, who is now perhaps the best known person in the industry, and whose estimated net worth is almost £7.5 billion according to Forbes.

Although Bet365 reported a loss in the financial year ending March 2023, this was largely due to their having expanded significantly overseas, as well as significant investments in IT infrastructure, development and technology, and their revenue had risen by 19% since the previous year.

In the UK, theirs is the most visited sports betting site by some margin, receiving over 8 million more visits in September 2024 than its nearest competitor, SkyBet.

Their focus is sports betting, with markets available for an extremely wide range of sports, from MMA to Nascar to handball, but they also offer an extensive range of casino games, bingo and poker.

What Are Bet Credits?

Bet credits are the format Bet365 uses for free bets, which allow you to place a sports bet at no cost. If your bet is successful, the winnings are yours to keep, although the bet credit stake isn’t returned to you.

For example, you stake £5 of bet credits on Manchester City to win an upcoming football match at odds of 3 (2/1 in fractional odds). If your bet is successful, you’d get £10 in winnings in cash, but not your original £5 stake.

Many sports betting sites will attach conditions to their free bets, for example requiring you to use a free bet only on a certain sport, or only on a bet builder. Usually this isn’t the case with bet credits from Bet365, however, who have simplified matters by allowing bet credits to be used freely for the most part.

How Can You Use Bet Credits?

If you’ve received bet credits, they will often be automatically credited; simply click your balance to view your available bet credits.

If you’re expecting bet credits as part of a bet and get offer, however, you may see a pop-up prompting you to accept them first. To do so, navigate to the ‘My Offers’ section of your account (shown in the screenshot above) and you’ll be given the option to claim your bet credits. Having done so, they’ll be available to use when you add a selection to your betslip.

Bet365 sign up offer

Bet365 offer new customers £30 in bet credits when they sign up and bet £10. To take advantage of this offer, simply sign up to their website and claim the offer in the My Offers section of your new account.

Next, you’ll need to deposit £10 with a debit card, and then place a £10 qualifying bet at odds of at least 1.2 (1/5 in fractional odds). Your £30 in bet credits will be available to use once your qualifying bet has settled, usually within an hour.

Bet365 reload offers

Although you can only do the sign up offer once, as an existing customer you’ll still receive regular offers. These are often in the format of ‘Bet £10 and get £10 in bet credits’, where your initial £10 qualifying bet may have to be on a particular match, or on a bet builder, or an accumulator bet.

Another great offer is what’s known as a ‘Refund IF’, where you receive a refund of your stake in the form of bet credits if your original bet is unsuccessful. So for example, you might see, ‘Place a £10 bet builder on Arsenal v Liverpool and get £10 in bet credits if it loses’. This effectively gives you a second chance of placing a winning bet if your qualifying bet is unsuccessful.

Occasionally, Bet365 may even credit you with bet credits apparently at random, as a thank you for being a loyal customer - so keep an eye on your account, just in case!

Matched Betting

It’s great to have an opportunity to win a bet without having to risk your own money, but wouldn’t it be better still to be certain of making a profit from your bet? Well, with Matched Betting, you can!

By matching both your qualifying and free bets with lay bets at an exchange, you can break even on your qualifying bet and lock in a guaranteed profit with your bet credits, so long as you follow the instructions correctly.

Can You Withdraw Bet Credits?

It’d be great if you could! But no, bet credits can only be used to place bets - otherwise everyone would be signing up to Bet365, placing a £10 bet and immediately withdrawing their £30 credits to make an instant £20 profit.

So, as with pretty much all other bookies, you do have to bet your bet credits to make any withdrawable money from them - but if you have a go at Matched Betting, you can be sure of making a profit from them, rather than placing a bet and crossing your fingers for good luck.

Other bet credit terms and conditions

  • Expiry. Bet credits are usually valid only for 7 days - so don’t forget to use them in time!
  • Partial bet credit stakes. You can place a bet with a stake made up of both bet credits and cash, which is quite unusual among bookies - though in the event of a win, the bet credit stake element wouldn’t be included in any returns.
  • Boosts. You cannot use bet credits on Acca Boosts, although Bet365’s terms indicate that they can be used on other boosted odds (which is also quite unusual among bookies).

Other Bet365 Offers

Bet credits are great, but they’re not the only bonuses Bet365 have to offer. Check out some of the other bonuses and rewards they regularly have available:

Price boosts

Like most bookies, Bet365 will have price boosts available on certain events or selections most days. Some of these will be more worthwhile than others, but it’s always worth checking to see what’s available. If you’re able to locate a lay market for the same selection with lower odds, you can make an instant profit through Matched Betting.

Bet and get free spins

Every so often, you may receive an offer to get a certain number of free spins on slots if you place a bet - e.g. bet £10 and get 20 free spins. Although you can’t lock in a guaranteed profit through Matched Betting on this sort of offer, it’s still worth doing, as on average you’d expect to make more from the free spins than you’d lose on the qualifying bet, so long as you lay it on the exchange.

Free games

Bet365 have several regular free games available, with the option to win free spins, bet credits, and golden chips. These include the following:

  • Prize matcher. This is a daily free game, where you match symbols to earn prizes - including free spins, bet credits and golden chips. Available daily from 5pm.
Bet365's prize matcher, a 7x7 grid that allows you to reveal 3 squares per day. Matching symbols earn prizes
  • Daily scratchcard. You can access a daily scratchcard in the Bingo section of the Bet365 website - with bingo tickets, free spins and even cash up for grabs.
  • Six scores/horses. Regular chances to predict six scores for football matches, or the winners of six horse races, with prizes ranging from free spins to a share of up to £250,000, depending on how many you get right.
  • Goals giveaway. Reveal an upcoming match each weekday after 2pm, and win bet credits if there are at least 4 goals in any of your matches.

Casino offers

If you prefer casino to sports betting, Bet365 also have a casino sign up offer available. Deposit £10 within 30 days of signing up, and you’ll be able to spin a reel to claim between 5 and 20 free spins from the My Offers section of your account. You can even repeat this offer several times over, so long as you wait at least 24 hours between spins of the reel.

You can also wager £10 on casino slots to receive 100 free spins - again, you’ll be able to opt in to the promotion from the My Offers page, and you’ll need to do this within 30 days of signing up. Bear in mind that, unlike using the Matched Betting technique on the sports betting welcome offer, this isn’t risk free - though based on the RTP of the available slots games, you would expect to make a profit on average.

There are lots of opportunities to earn bet credits with Bet365, but the best way to make the most of them is through Matched Betting.
